We were thrilled to host our annual San Alberto Magno Family Day this past Saturday.

Despite the blustery winds, we were delighted to see both new and familiar faces from our school community joining us. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who braved the weather to take part in this event, showing support for our students as they proudly showcased their remarkable projects and endeavours here at SAM.

Among the highlights of the day was a lively performance of 'Stick to the Status Quo' from High School Musical, expertly delivered by our talented Primary, 4.5, and 6 students, hinting at the budding talents in our midst.

In line with our commitment to promoting healthy eating habits, our Primary 1 students wowed the audience with their "Cocineros por un día" demonstration, skilfully preparing a nutritious dish while educating us on the food pyramid and the importance of a balanced diet for overall well-being. Their presentation left us all inspired to explore new culinary adventures.

The enchanting journey from Paris to Tahiti was then brought to life by our delightful four-year-olds in their exploration of Henri Matisse's vibrant world through the 'Matisse’s Garden' workshop, showcasing the cultural curiosity of our young learners at SAM.

And our Secondary, Year 2 students treated us to a unique science experiment where they created perfumes from various essences. For this experiment, students researched the perfume-making process and delved into the science of using complimentary scents to make one delightful fragrance. They delighted us with their fun and interactive presentation.

We take immense pride in our students' accomplishments and were overjoyed to witness the overwhelming parental support at our Family Day. This event provides students with the opportunity to showcase their skills and passions to an extensive audience, which encourages them, builds their confidence, and amplifies the joy in their learning. Thank you for your support.

While the gusty winds thwarted our plans to cook the giant paella we had prepared, we see it as an opportunity to organize another gathering soon. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you back to school to savour the paella together. Perhaps we'll arrange for the return of the bouncy castle, which went down a storm – no pun unintended!
